A major corporation, involved in ongoing civil litigation,
decided to sell one of its business units. Over 400 employees and
their equipment were included in the sale which once transferred
would result in the loss of a significant amount of potentially
valuable evidence.
Adding to the complexity of the project, employees
were located at facilities throughout the United States and once
the deal was struck there would only be a twenty-five day window
in which to complete the project. Forensics Consulting Solutions
worked closely with leadership from the legal, human resource, and
IT groups in the development and execution of the project.
As imaging teams were mobilized around the country,
a local team developed a proprietary database to track collection,
storage, and eventual retrieval of case critical information. The
imaging team encountered some resistance on a local level because
so few people knew the reason for the collection process. Yet, this
complex project was completed on time and with no discernable impact
on operations and with valuable data preserved for use with the
case if needed.
