A female employee with a major corporation filed
a complaint against the Vice President of her department accusing
him of sending her suggestive and inappropriate emails.
She said that she was so upset that she had erased
the emails and therefore couldn’t show them to management.
Forensics Consulting Solutions was asked to investigate the email
system and local hard drives of both individuals to identify any
communication that might have occurred.
After a thorough investigation it was determined
that there had been no communication of any kind between the Vice
President and his accuser. When confronted with the evidence the
employee admitted that she had recently come to the department from
another area and was unhappy with her job. She did not want to wait
the six month period before she would be eligible to bid on a new
job and thought accusing the improprieties would get her moved to
a new department.
